From the Fòrum Gastronòmic Girona we give our full support to the solidarity initiative launched by La Bodega de Can Roca, which aims to raise funds for the improvement of neurocritical patient care at the University Hospital of Girona Doctor Josep Trueta.
As Joan Roca says, this solidarity campaign will serve as a "tribute to public health and especially to the workers of the Girona hospital". The chef of La Bodega de Can Roca explains that this initiative arose after his daughter had a traffic accident and had to be admitted to Trueta. "You realize the professionalism and quality of public health care," added Roca.
As part of this initiative, during the Forum there will be a presentation on "Cooking as a tool for social awareness and environmental transformation" and a six-handed meal cooked by chefs Joan Roca, Massimo Bottura and Mauro Colagreco. All proceeds from the dinner will go to the neurocritical unit of the Josep Trueta Hospital in Girona.
