The 9th edition of the event will be held from 18th to 21st March 2023, with a new image and open to the whole territory.

The 9th edition of the Fòrum Gastrnòmic Girona will be held from 18 to 21 March 2023, with many new features, reforming and extending its programme of activities to four days, two of which will be in the most central streets and squares of Girona. Thus, the first two days of the event will take place entirely in different areas of the city centre, with an exhibitors' fair, talks, demonstrations, tasting sessions, competitions, etc. Through this formula of implementation in the city, the Gastronomic Forum will reach a much wider range of public, adapting its contents to the concerns of visitors and gastronomy lovers. It will be a weekend full of highly participative activities and with a clear vocation to integrate producers and gastronomes with food lovers.

The challenges facing the sector, a debate among professionals

On 20 and 21 March, activities will be held at the Auditori-Palau de Congressos and the Fira de Girona, which focuses exclusively on the professional gastronomy sector. There will be a large and specialised exhibitors' fair in the Palau de Firas, which will once again be the main attraction of the event and which will be extended to occupy the upper floor of the Palau de Fires.

Over the course of the two days, visitors will also be able to take part in talks and debates with professionals from the sector, cooking monographs, workshops, competitions, etc. A specific programme that is being worked on directly with the sector to turn the Girona Gastronomic Forum into a true centre of debate, influential in decision-making and a leader in the implementation of common strategies for the benefit of gastronomy and catering.

One of the objectives of the Girona Gastronomic Forum is to consolidate the Girona area as a gastronomy capital, and for this reason it works together with professional associations and groups, along with the institutions, to offer a programme of activities that addresses the current affairs and challenges of the sector as a whole.

New image of the Girona Gastronomic Forum

The Gastronomic Forum, which has already announced that it will be held annually in the city of Girona, also comes with a visible change of image that aims to convey the dynamism and innovation on which the event is based. This is the result of the renovation initiated in the last edition of the show, with the impulse of a new stage born in Girona focused on gaining international notoriety and with a firm commitment to offer innovative and quality content. In this sense, the 2023 edition will also reinforce the Fòrum Territori, a formula devised at the last edition to make the professional show revolve throughout the year. In this way, the territorial vision of the Fòrum Gastronòmic is broadened, as a welcoming space open to everyone, offering activities ranging from unique gastronomic experiences to recovering new debates that may arise during the event and that have not been dealt with in depth.
